I was recommended to this facility, and I gave it a shot as it was the closest in my location. The doctor does not work with insurances, so everything is completely out of pocket. He starts his appointment by saying he basically can't evaluate you without paying for $875 x-rays. He says he doesn't charge for the actual appointment, but it's included in the pricing packaging anyways. Then he lays out a treatment plan that may or may not help. The staff explained the treatment plan is laid out into two sections, which would total around $8000. I paid the $4000 to receive my appliances, which they didn't give an itemized receipt for or an explanation for charges. They then tried to get me to come in for laser therapy every other week, and when I explained that I wasn't interested they emailed me two scientific papers to "explain" the importance. These papers were not applicable to their clinical practice and honestly felt like fear mongering. Then after my 2 total appointments were over, I received another bill for over $3000, even though i decided to stop treatment. We had a wonderful experience with our son’s TMJ specialist. We initially sought care for our 13-year-old son because we believed he was dealing with TMJ issues and a tongue tie. We had no idea at the time that his airway was also compromised. What stood out most was how thorough and knowledgeable the doctor was. They helped us understand not only his TMJ concerns, but also the bigger picture and how significantly airway health can impact overall well-being. Their ability to identify something we never would have recognized on our own was truly invaluable. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answer all of our questions, and walk us through treatment options in a way that felt thoughtful and reassuring. We never felt rushed, and every concern we had was taken seriously. Our son felt comfortable during visits, which means a lot, especially as a teenager. Dr. Russel and the entire team at Restorative Sleep and TMJ have truly changed my life. Before treatment, my testosterone levels were dangerously low, I struggled with depression, and I never woke up feeling rested. Since starting care here, my testosterone levels are now normal, my depression is gone, and I wake up feeling refreshed and energized. The improvement in my overall health and quality of life has been incredible. Dr. Russel is knowledgeable, thorough, and truly cares about patient outcomes, and the staff is professional and supportive every step of the way. This experience has been life-changing, and I can’t recommend them highly enough.

I first heard about Dr. Russell and the team at Restorative Sleep while having lunch with a friend. I had been using a CPAP for a few months, and knowing that she had been using one for years, I asked her how it was going. She got very excited and began telling me about the wonderful new mouth appliance she was using now instead of the CPAP, and how life changing it was. As I had many issues with the CPAP this was great news to me! I came home and made an appointment the next day, and I am so glad I did. Dr. Russell did an examination and told me that he thought I would be a good candidate for the mandibular advancement device that my friend had. He does a very complete work up, and we not only discussed my sleep, but my sinus congestion, and overall health. I am so impressed with his deep concern that you leave his office not just a little better, but the best that can be. He really does strive for excellence, and his staff is terrific also. I highly recommend !!

I would like to share my real treatment experience at this clinic for other patients who may be considering care here. Dr. Russell is a doctor I truly respect and trust. He is knowledgeable, professional, thoughtful in his evaluations, and always willing to spend time listening carefully to his patients. Throughout my treatment process, I could genuinely feel his dedication to his profession and his sense of responsibility toward patient care. There was also a young nurse at the clinic who was exceptionally kind, patient, and supportive, which I deeply appreciated. I began treatment in March 2024, mainly hoping to improve my snoring and TMJ issues. At this point, my snoring has not shown significant improvement yet. Dr. Russell believes that I may eventually need additional nasal-related treatment or surgery, and that TMJ treatment alone may have limited effect on snoring improvement. However, regarding my TMJ symptoms, both Dr. Russell’s evaluation and my own personal experience suggest that my jaw discomfort and joint pain have improved compared to before treatment.
